I'm about to fit a new rad and was wanting to know is it ok to use any anti freeze as long as it's methanol free? I have just bought some car plan stuff from my m8's auto shop and thought i'd check it's ok to use.

Yes, should be ok to use, the only reason for not using methanol based is it evaporates very quickly, so only good in summer type climates. 50/50 mix is good, will cope with any Uk weather then.
