Steering Noise/judder
#1
Had a clutch, downpipe and induction kit fitted last week as well as a main dealer service. Following this there is a noise from the steering.
When travelling at above 10mpg and turning using full lock there is a soft clink clink noise and some odd vibration fed back through steering wheel. I am slightly worried that it may be unsafe to drive the car. I took it back to the dealer and they were unable/unwilling to find a fault? Anybody had a similar problem.?

Richard, got yr clutch replaced? could b a problem with drive shaft or lower ball joints. I believe steering isn't that much of problem unless U can have the car jacked up n feel for steering free play, could also be rubber boots securing rack n pinion got oil on them to cause some play.

Hi,
soft "clink clink" noise on full steering lock is usually front CV joints starting to go.
They were possibly on the way out anyway, but having clutch replaced (and all the associated disruption - I assume the driveshafts are dropped) will have accenuated problem.
Unless of course your comment about full lock at above 10 MPG was not a misprint and you are attempting doughnuts!!!!
