i have a green performance filter that the previous owner of my 1999 imp turbo put in, and i need to know if i can use a k&n or bmc cleaning kit to clean it. i cant get a green cleaning kit locally.

"Whisper" Halfords have the full cleaning and oiling kits for Green and K&N filter kits.

Dont used petrol.

i would hoover it but its got some really caked dirt. can i use bmc or k+n filter cleaning kit to clean it, as they are available here. cant find the green filter kit.

just wash it in fairy leave it in the airing cupboard then hoover it. you can add a bit of 3in one oil if it needs it.
