Hi folks 1993 legacy turbo,

Just got a new radiator as last one popped, after i turn the engine off you can hear gurrgling. Water is being spat out of the overflow pipe, temp gauge reads normal.

Help please.

Sounds like an air block in the system, with the engine running remove your rad cap (Carefully) and repeatedly sqeeze the lowest coolant hose until all the air is expelled.

I had this when my thermostat went.
Had an airlock I couldnt shift no matter how much squeezing i did.
In the end i took the top hose off the rad and manually fille dit with water/coolent
then all was well!.

hope this helps ?

Nice one Magnet,

How the leggy doing, i wanted to buy it back you know!
But me and Dave got this nail at 'much dizcount price'.

Done the engine on thing and squeezed the lowest pipe many time, got wet, filled it up, held it 2000rpm then filled it again and put the top on.

Now its not spitting out water but still bubbling and gurrgling

What now? make a list to take to Daves house?

Huummmm, head gasket you say.

Sounds like an excuse to waste the best part of a grand on sti pistons, impreza heads and tripple layer sti gasket set.

No doubt i will get round to fitting the td05 and fmic i bought a while back and torture Dave until he changes the inlet.

Wooopeeee! NOT
