Just been qouted £160 by a dealer to fit my new Samco hoses

If you can work a couple of simple hand held tools then you're qualified to do the work yourself

If a numptie like me can do it, then you can....

Tools required ... 12mm (intercooler & dump valve bolts) & 8mm spanner (for extra tight jubilee clips) , flat screwdriver (loosening jubilee clips) , pliers ( springy clips on d/v hose ).
This is for a MY00 btw, but there isn't much difference....

Check inside the hoses before you put them on, the I/C 'Y' bit had some straggly bits on the joints inside on mine.


Also a good time to mount the knocklink sensor while the i/c is off if you want....

What about the coolant?

Dont i have to refill with anti freeze or flush the system out?


Can i expect any air blocks

I have the prodrive hoses already and these are the 8 coolant piece set

The kit was missing 2 hoses and i have a breather hose (no. 218) that i cant find

The others are on the car so i have just got a little wait until Tuesday for the others to be sent to me
