Just fitted Revolutions's full 3" system and downpipe to my UK turbo. Has released noticable power.....especially mid range. Looks good, fitted very well, and fits really closely to floor and diff so it won't catch (hopefully!!).

Sounds superb, very crisp and thoaty, and not at all boomy or annoying!! Can't stop smiling when I drive it now!!!!!

Highly recommended.

I paid £480 including the downpipe. Fitted it myself in a friends garage with a pit in it. Was fairly straight forward.
Its a reasonable price considering it’s a genuine 3” system and a good downpipe. The only other one at that price is the Mongoose but it doesn’t sound as good (in my opinion!!)
Revolution’s website doesn’t have good pictures of the tailpipe(s) so if you want a picture of the 4” round slash-cut tail, let me know!

I've got one, it gave me so much noticable increase in power
it started slipping the clutch, but worth it in the end!!

the revolution is open neck so no restriction.

Hi wigan wayne!

I have had email conversations with Revolution and they offered me the Magnex-twin-dump which is not really what I am after.
I am after an openneck one.
What was the make of the Openneck DP you bought from Revolution?

loscooby,

The Revolution system in manufactured by Jetex, and the downpipe supplied by them is open neck + splitter. The Magnex would not be sold as a Revolution.

I got Revolutions open neck downpipe with my system, fitted well and seems a good design.

My car has now started slipping the clutch too since I got the system fitted....although I reckon my clutch was possibly on the way out anyway!!

If it is the same system as on mine then just be aware that from the DP back it does not have the same configuration as a standard exhaust, so you can't fit a different back box and retain the revolution centre, or refit a center cat for MOT's and keep the BB.

Just wanted to point this out as I know a lot of people (me included) get bored and want to try a different back box, or don't want to go through the hassle of re-fitting a catted DP for the MOT.

But I may be wrong, Revolution may have changed their design. I stand to be corrected.

Run a 3" Revolution, fitted by them, without any issues for the last two years but once I got into high power mode replaced the D/P with a 3" open neck, Hayward and Scott D/P.

DaveW is right, my system is totally different configuration to the standard system, which means for MOT, I reckon I'm going to have to replace full system rather than just a centre cat.

But I've never had any problems with leaky joints.

Anyone else had the problem of their 4" round slash tailpipe being welded on SLIGHTLY wrong.....i.e. what should be at 12 o'clock is slightly toward 1 o'clock????????? Its only noticable cos its a sloping cut on the tail.

This week mine all had to be taken to bits and re-fitted to pass the MOT as it was blowing from both joints.

Taking mine off complete from the turbo back is less than 10 mins once the car is on the ramp. Much the same time to refit.

When I fitted my new system, it took 2 hours, but I reckon when swapping back for MOT, it'l be well less than an hour.

Best advice is to soak all nuts in WD40, and get the car up on a ramp....especially where removal of downpipe is needed.
