O.K I've got my Bosch sensor and associated crimps and boots, the Knocklink monitor is due this morning.

B4 I go about fitting can someone confirm the connections to the sensor.
I assume that is does not matter which way round it is connected, as it is just a micophone. But could someone confirm this please.

cheers....

Looking at this picture may of answered my question, as it looks like the sensor wires are the same colour.
Perhaps when I get home lunchtime and 'hopefully' open the box 'if it arrives'. It will be confirmed

yep....red & black (of equal length) are the power source. Brown and black go to the sensor.

Wink

Just look at the pic above
You can see where the red and black are on the plug to the knocklink, id ensure that it goes red to red and black to black

I don't care about the red and the black.... it's the sensor I'm interested in.

IMO there are 2 ways it 'could' wire :

1. It's only a microsphone so it does not matter which wire goes into which connector pin on the bosch sensor (other then the main unit power, red/Black). The same as when wiring a light bulb.
2. It has a definite positive and negative connection, as it may be an 'active' mic.

I just want to know which
