The decat is safe, but that doesn't make it warranty friendly. The same goes for a remap. An EcuTek remap and full decat will give 285bhp but only the PPP, which is sold by Subaru, is accepted by Subaru for their warranty.
The PPP actually voids the 3 year factory warranty but Subaru UK take this over.
I have always wondered if FHI ever check up on this, but that's my conspiritorial nature

Hi Scoobi
You have two cats in your system, one in the downpipe and one in the forward of the two centre sections. The centre cat if after the second lambda sensor, used for cat testing, so this can be removed without affecting the ecu's cat testing routines. Swapping the downpipe for one with good flow makes a much bigger difference to performance but you will also need to fit an electronic fix for the second lambda.
With a full system, power will rise to 255-260bhp
