I'm having problems with the throttle body and the mounting bractets. the shorter body i've got is the opposite way round to the original and the position switch has a different plug on it? Plus the brackets won't fit on the manifold? is a manifold from the later car the answer? I'm also tr

I used the original throttle body on MY96 but machined it along with the IC. The throttle bodies from the newer models have the idle control valve located in the throttle body so I stuck with the original. When you have located the IC in position once Throttle body and IC have been modified you will find the brackets will not fit. I custom made mine which are a perfect fit. You will also find it easier to mount using a samco hose kit.

Thumbs up

Cheers mate,is this the easiest way as the later throttle body is alredy smaller? how much did you have to take of to get them to fit? any ideas on fitting the 99 injectors as they have to be fitted with the rails and are different? all these mods are to get 300 BHP on a budget so any help for a newbie greatly appreciated!

I machined approx 8-9mm off both. To put it into context the standard hose between the Throttle body IC is 52.5mm whereas the samco I am using on the modded IC an Throttle body is 38.5mm. I found there was going to be too much hassle using the newer throttle body. I will be taking the IC off shortly to do some other mods so if time permits I will take some piccies for ya
As far as the injectors go speak to Pavlo as he has adapted various injectors to fit fuel rails.

Got my samco hoses from demon tweeks they sell 70mm id tube in approx 100mm lengths for about £7-£10. You will need this one for the IC to Throttle body then cut to length.
