Many Many threads on this. One currently running I think.....

FACTS

Only few people map the Link , and Bob does most and is superb , hense not many, if any , bad things reported.

Many people advertised as Unichip Dealers (Although this is changing) and very few that can do it very well.
Hense, historically, plenty of negative experience.

If you go to someone that really knows how to map the Unichip you will struggle to find a better value for money solution.
At £550 , including the Unichip Electronic Boost Controller and 30 day money back warranty, its hard to argue against.

Granted if you want to seriously mod the car then the Unichip may well be limited in certain areas , but it is perfect for my 320bhp Type R and my old 340bhp MR2 Turbo is still going strong.

Speak with Dino at Owen Developments , who in my opinion are the very best when it comes to the Unichip (More mapping experience of these than anyone else).

Any ecu you go for will only be as good as the technician's mapping, no matter what it costs

Works O.K. on the pre MY01 cars if mapped properly. Be prepared for lean mixture at part throttle and check engine lights (misfire codes) if used in the new age Impreza.

Mark.
