Just trying to ascertain what the general consencus is with regards to the above.
I'd be grateful if you could supply the following info.
1) Make/Model of kit
2) Supplier
3) Price paid
4) Ease of fitment
5) Quality of product
6) Reduction in throw (% approx)
7) Kit consists of? (Lever only/lever + ****/full mechanism)
Thank you in advance

02 WRX with the Prodrive quickshift fitted. Can't help much 'cos I got it fitted new when I bought the car but it does give a very slick change.
Not sure again on price as it was lumped in with a few other things as well as my trade in but the std. price is on the web site. I understand that they are gonna be more than other aftermarket options. It didn't come with another **** either - just the standard one, which for the money I thought they could have chucked one in!
This is my first Scooby and not driven another so I can't even comment on reduciton in throw - sorry, not been much help!
I seem to think I have seen some good reports for the JW Racing version? (and there's a group buy somewhere on here I think?)

B&M Quickshift
Purchased from TSL
Cost approx £160
Easy to fit approx 1hour
Reduced throw considerably. Was a bit notchy to start with but now much smoother.
Wouldn't go back to standard now.

So around £200 for the Prodrive one and £160 for the B&M.....
I see that the B&M is a replacement lever..
and the Prodrive one is a full replacement mechanism..
I suppose the extra for the Prodrive one is justified since it is more than a lever, but I wonder which throw is shorter, and sweeter?

Home Made, cost £zero (just some welding and cutting), about 40-50% reduction (can't remeber all my measurements and calculations)
Easy to fit and works superbly, slightly more notchy but I like it like that

bottom feeder - I've been thinking of a B&M for my MY00 so justa quick question...
when she's cold it's always a bit stiff going into first gear - does the quickshift accentuate this problem at all? And have you ever got a horrible grinding noise on an enthusiastic drive cos the quick shift 'beat' the synchromesh?

I got the Prodrive one from Grade A breakers for £50! Spent all afternoon replacing the whole mechanism only to realise it was bent (off a front end smasher) and it wouldn't engage 2nd! DOH! Replaced the original mechanism and put the Prodrive lever in that. Very nice. Dead positive and much reduced throw. Think he had a few.
