I just fitted my knocklink to my MY99 turbo with Tek2 and decat.

i'm getting a dim green on idle and off boost, but as I appoach the rev limiter the first green goes to solid bright green and then occasionally to two solid greens.

Does this sound about right? I've put the sensitivity to maximum.

It of course does sound right that a healthy car is getting green readings but should these lights be either on or off, i ask because i'm not sure of the validity of the first one being dimmed green at idle, have I got an earthing problem on my knocklink or should they genuinly have a dimmed green readout?

Sounds good to me. The greens usually reflect mechanical noise, which will obviously increase with revs.

Dimmed green is fine, i interpret that as it working

A good test to ensure your Knocklink is working is to watch it as you turn the car over whilst starting. It should go up a couple of lights.

it does, thanks

took me ages to fit, not being car minded apart from driving them!

took ages to get the existing bolt out and then to get the bolt started in the hole again with the sensor attached, then the birds nest of wires in my centre console is just a joke!

I fitted mine this afternoon & set to max sensitivity. MY00 with Tek2.5, full decat and induction kit. I see exactly the same as you. 2 green lights when starting and the first green light on dimly on tickover. I haven't had a chance to try WOT yet.

Yup; first dim light means that it's on - a good thing
The first (same) green light going bright means that there's some engine noise - possible/typical at high rpm.
Think the rest has been explained about already more cleary than I could manage
