Question

Guy's

Spotted the new Ninja backbox from Scoobyworld. Thought it looked the dogs but i currently have a MY99 with PPP.

Was just wondering if performance etc would dropped if I changed the backbox to a Ninja one??

Cheers.

Ali.

Replaced my Magnex with the new Ninja last weekend. Very pleased with it all round.

Looks great
Good value
Built well
Sounds fantatsic (idle & acceleration) though not Afterburner level
Fitting was easy.
Performance improvement ? At this stage (after a few days) I would have to say yes, definately (for me at least). On hard acceleration it breaths better than the Magnex and gives smoother performance. I seem to be through the gears a lot quicker than with the Magnex.

Would probably perform even better with a decat centre etc.

Couldn't say how it compares to PPP backbox but what attracted me in the first place was the price - you can't really go far wrong for £215.

Alex,

What year is yours??

I was looking at mine earlier (MY99) and the exhaust seems to bend down towards the ground about 2ft or so back!!

Looking at the picture on the scoobyworld site, it looks to straight??

Did you encounter this??

Cheers.

Ali.

You're welcome - I'm sure you'll be pleased with it. I ought to ask Scoobyworld for some commission !

Cheers.

Cool

adroy,

So what's the verdict on the Ninja then? I'm in the same position as you were (MY99 Prodrive BB) and need more noise! I'm torn between the Ninja and Afterburner and possibly the Scoobysport.

Cheers,
James

AJT - Is the Ninja much louder than the Magnex? I'm thinking of moving up from my 3.5" the the Ninja butam worried about upsetting my dear old Mother
Anything else to report in the way of pops and farts? more than the Mag or just the same?

Brun - I'd have to sum it up in one word; smoother

No pops etc
Much nicer sound but not louder than Magnex, just different/better.
Still turns heads !

Your mother will love it

Question

First off, I think the Ninja simply sounds amazing. Anyway, I was just wondering what type of performance increases I might expect to see on my 'OO Impreza RS. Also, I'm somewhat new to the import world, so I'm just kind of testing out the water, but is there any need to worry about a loss of torque with such a large exhaust tip? Thanks for your imput.

Anyone got any piccies of one fitted to their motor? (on a WRX03 model would be nice). I'm right on the verge of buying one!

Not quite an 03, but nice all the same
Not too loud when you're just cruising, but awsome when nailing it I swapped from a Magnex 3.5" which sounded well, but this has way more smiles per £

The Ninja sounds fantastic on my MY02 Sport Enough to turn heads

Give ScoobyWorld a call tho to make sure that the pipe's the same fit for a 98.
