Its that word again - MAF :(
#1
I was told at the PE rolling road day that my MAF was most likely duff as the car was running lean and that it was doing it when under high boost rather than under low boost, does this mean that I can use the car safely if I dont take it above 3k?
I've got 2 options it seems, replace it myself for £72 (using THE part number) or use PE who have quoted me £90, unfortunately they dont have a slot for a couple of weeks hence me asking whether its safe to drive.
I could do it myself but if its running lean for another reason then i'll end up replacing the MAF and then driving hard and then having a dead engine anyway, I'm guessing its safer for them to do it as they can check before/after figures on the emissions?
I'm also going to take out the ITG panel filter (thought it would have been safe but oh well, K&N panel filter next to try)
