Ive checked the search engine but no luck.

Ive got a MY 95 wrx, is it possible to take a turbo off a p1 or a later model import (i believe they are the same) and put it on mine?

Is it a simple case of swapping over the turbos or is there other parts i have to consider?

Cheers guys

No the earlier cars have a 90 degree elbow on the compressor inlet. Your TD05 would greatly benefit from having this removed and converting to front entry.

However, you have the most competent turbo fitted to any factory Impreza ever IMHO and a VF from a later model would be a step back. Not a single one of them flows as much, and with the 90 degree elbow off the TD05 and the car set up right only a VF35 will spool up earlier IMHO.

I also think the TD05 is less laggy than the VFs but Pat disagrees I think.
