Has anyone had a problem having a magnex part replaced? my tailpipes have come away from the silencer on the welds (still attatched to inside box but look crap) and magnex are saying because i haven't got the warranty card they don't want to know. I have the invoice from halfords where i bought it / had it fitted but didn't get any other paperwork. The exhaust does have the magnex numbers, etc on it so it's not as though i've made one up myself but thats not good enough.
Why offer a lifetime warranty then use a get out clause

What warranty card, I bought a magnex system for my CTR and got **** all apart from the invoice. I think you should call them and tell the to get your exhaust replaced or you will get very

Edited 'cos I can't spell

they are still bound by new EU warranty laws - card or no card you have proof of purchase.. let us know how you get on as magnex have always had a good reputation.. (so far....)

ah but scoobydoo magnex say if the product isn't registered with them by sending the completed card within 21 days the warranty is void - so maybe your not covered either?

poor attitude from magnex, why give lifetime warranty then use excuses to get out of it, anyone else managed a claim without a warranty card being registered

got another reply from magnex today saying they will sell me another system with a discount, yeah right once bitten and all that. Why should i have to pay for a replacement part which has a lifetime warranty? cost me £40 to have my standard system refitted and will cost another £30 to have another magnex fitted - £70 out of pocket to start........

Angry

now the're saying i should go back to the supplier and see if they will "take me on" and "get in touch with them" - WHAT! if magnex are telling me directly i have no comeback they will only tell the supplier that wont they?

shouldn't they print on their adverts "lifetime warranty providing warranty card is returned within 21 days"? seems the warranty doesn't mean sod all - we got your money so get lost
