change d/p gasket or not??
#1
just removed my old d/p to replace with magnex and was wondering whether to change the turbo - d/p gasket. it came off in one piece and looked undamaged.
Just dont fancy paying 44 quid for a new one from the dealer!!!
or is there somewhere else to get cheaper ones??
Also what gasket should be used between the d/p and the centre??
the original is a ceramic ring that looks like it wont fit the new pipe
cheers

I replaced mine when I changed the D/P, I paid about £12 from Cheam motors for the gasket, where the hell did you get a price of £44 from?
If you're Magnex D/P is 2.5", which I suspect it is, it will use the standard ring, I changed a Magnex D/P last weekend so I know for sure!

replaced two downpipes now, both gaskets survived unharmed,so did not replace them.
no rantings from the customers so far.........
If it looks slightly dicky and you're a real cheapskate, add a little silicon sealant onto the gasket faces, works wonders. (yes it does survive the heat.)
