Will we see any results like this on Sunday...

Well....
....we may not see kind of plot Sunday - but this one has no NOS - and is geared to max at 150mph at 9,000 rpm. But it does get there in 10.5s

PS Just setting the bar a little higher

Well not many graphs like this today!
Some very interesting battling for results today.
Commisserations to Stan (a remap with higher boost and the inlet pipe will help as Steve Mc got the results you want )
Congratulations to Andy for the most outrageous car there with the remarkable boost rise.
Most improvement would have to be Rich W
Wooden spoon to John Banks for coming all that way and not bring his car for a run
Oh, and Steve, you need to find that other 11bhp to prove me right

Trout, my car was 200 miles away and not ready (waiting for a compressor cover from Mark, need to fit inlet pipe, uppipe and port the exhaust housing when I get this), yours was 20 yds away from the dyno and also I suspect not optimised I have a few tweaks to make before I run at Star in 2 weeks.
Interesting the very short run up time and the effect on boost control on some cars. Like running a gear lower at least? (compared with other dynos, not just comparing with the road).

John,
only having a bit of fun - we have so much about your car - it would have been nice to see it
On a more serious note - it was interesting to see some of the cars that have been much debated to run side by side - even if we didn't get all of them (inlcuding mine)!
Certainly the performance profiles went much to expectation and Andy F did a superb job with his hybrid.
What was more interest was that the basis of some of the debates of recent weeks would perhaps have been different now - now that the cars have been tested with the same (and in my view difficult) rolling road strategy. Certainly from my own perspective my car is clearly much weaker at the top-end as expected (I am less brave with my standard open deck internals) but at Well Lane the torque (303) and cross-over (310) bhp looks a lot less shabby now in such illustrious company...I honestly expected these figures to be blown away by what I read over the past few weeks
I look forward the next meet when I am sure the game will move on again. I am certainly convinced that Andy has a lot more to give with his setup - and I guess there will be some new projects being aired in the next few months.
The most immediate project tho - would be for Well Lane to get those rollers treated so that they aren't so shiny

No problem Trout, good to finally meet you today
It makes you seriously question whether any 350 lbft + car could hope to get a proper set of figures at Well Lane?
Having been in Andy's car quite a lot in its latest trim , the torque on the rollers is obviously unrepresentative - we are not just talking slightly different as is usually the case on the rollers, but totally different, so much that his torque plot should be written off as misinformation IMHO. It really is that different.

John,
I agree with you wholeheartedly - but I guess by running at least at the same venue it is the only way we can really compare each others cars
Trout
PS So it will be a trip to Star for me - or a trip to Well Lane for the Alba contingent - or a trip a to PE for all of us

Nice to meet you (and others) on Sunday
The rollers at Star suffer the same problem but it is much more obvious. The run time at star is of greater duration so if a car starts slipping, you can clearly hear it and the operator lifts off. He then applies some 'spray' to the tyres which gives them increased grip on the rollers.
My torque at 0.9 bar (stage 1 dawes) was showing 260lb-ft at 4500, when I switched to stage 2 (1.6 bar) at 4600rpm, the rollers recorded a drop to 240lb-ft !
I can assure you that when the boost goes from 0.9 to 1.6 bar in a few milliseconds, this is NOT what happens !!!!!
Also my power has long gone before 7600 rpm yet this is where it recorded maximum output ? I think that is just where the rollers caught up with the wheels !
The recorded bhp jumped from 350 to 417 by installing 2 passengers, does that mean if I had added 4 passengers I may have added another 67bhp ?
Can you find out about that Link ECU you mentioned and drop me an Email please. I think I'll start to get serious with this tuning lark now
cheers

Andy,
I can - but it would not be great for you - I have checked and although it is a PC version - and can be recalibrated for a 3-bar MAP sensor it is 6 row - so would give you poor definition.
There are other options - but the price starts to rise. If you are still interested I will let you know - the guy leaves for Mexico today for two weeks so you will have to wait until he returns.

AFAIK there isn't a ten row version for the early cars - or if there is it is a recent addition. The later cars had a chip to convert from 6 to 10 rows and then to PC Link. The early PC LINK cars I have seen are 6-row.
Microtech and a bleed valve it is then

Steve,
If you do I have some pure methanol here to put in your water tank - that'll make up the 11bhp
Think you did well on Sunday - even though you didn't quite hit the target we all hoped for.
Trout
Andy,
if you get a whole bank of SUs lined up I am a whizz at gasflowing them and I have a catalogue with a whole range of needle profile
