Couple of pics of my gearbox which has a slight problem....







Couldn't tell what caused it, just happened to become noisy, then ding, ding, ding, ding,ding......

Anyone know what gear has went?

That looks familiar - except mine is completely shredded.

3rd gear.

Alan, is it a uk box?

if so, have got a load of gears lying in the shed, your welcome to them if ive got the ones you need.

Hi Alan

Hey guess what the swine has even polished the inside of the gear box now.Is that to go with the engine bay now

It does look nasty though.

You been doing some secret mods then to shed the gearbox like that!!

How much is a recon or new gearbox then

mail me on whats happening

My gearbox doesnt feel too good at the moment (hopefully it'll be ok) and a driveshaft went the other week!

No secret mods, just cr4p driver i guess

Can get gearboxes reconditioned for about 250 but depends on extent of damage.

No, not a paddle Andy, binned that yonks ago.

Steve,

why do you think a paddle clutch is non-driveable.

Drove a car with paddle clutch in it last summer - and if I didn't know it had a paddle I would not have guessed. Light action - no more judder than my AP (and probably less than my Sti) clutch - and all this in a car with a lightened flywheel.

whoops i hate gearboxes also! ahhhhhhh


that is the remains of my third gearbox! hopefully the p1 box and diff will sort my problems now! and my lighter foot and wallet!

Had an AP Paddle a while back on the Scoob - had to rev to about 5000rpm to get the car to move forward.. I believe Pete Croney had similar problems.. change to organic AP and whilst not perfect... much better.. I will opt for a Non AP clutch next time..
