Thanks Chris LOL !
I did'nt really want to start cutting wires and adding small boxes here and there.
Is it possible for a main dealer to put there diagnostics on the car to turn the check light off.

Dirk.

I assume the problem is because you've decatted.

If this is the problem then I believe it can only be done with a box of tricks that fools the ECU into thinking the CAT is still there.

MRT in Oz do a box of tricks which both me and Zippy have on our MY01 WRX's.It gets rid of the CEL and wires into the centre decat section sensor unlike Scoobysports version which solders directly to the ECU.......
JAP Innovations can get hold of em for you!!! (Around £35 plus fitting)
Dealer will be able to turn the CEL off but it'll come back on pretty soon anyway.Your only option is to fit one of these Temp Defender units!!! (Zippy will know more technical stuff than me about it as he fitted mine for me )

Good luck

Nick

Hello boys, you are correct as it took many weeks for this issue to be sorted on my de-cat MY01,the unit you need is the MRT rear 02 gas sensor CEL unit (not the temparature fix which only has 2 wires). It has 4 wires which you need to connect between the rear 02 sensor in your exhaust and the wiring loom connector. You only cut the blue and the white wires (NOT THE BLACK ONES)and place the CEL fix unit in-line with the white and blue wires.
The job takes about 20 minutes from start to finnish and DOES work 'honest Nick'.If you need anymore advice e-mail me off line.

Zippy
