Aye, Favourable exchange rate....LOL
Last time I bought something from him, I got charged the Irish VAT, and UK VAT.
Bloody expensive if you ask me. It would be much cheaper to buy direct from BPM.
I just get the feeling I was ripped off somewhere along the line.
Surely when goods are exported, you do not have to pay the export countries duty ???

not too sure what the story is with export 'n' vat I always assumed u pay the vat on the goods at the vat rate from the country of export, unless ur vat exempt, u should have gone down to collect the goods there avoiding the UK vat too? ... maybe...

BTW not arguing/defending, just offering opinion

To be honest, Im not really sure how much duty was paid, but when the total cost is so much more that what I was first told ( without tax of course ), then it is a bit annoying.
The induction pipe I bought, cost £300 from paul. Now at the time, we didnt have time, and he was the only person who could supply the pipe that was needed, in the time we had, so the money was paid.
To me £300 is an outrageous price for an induction pipe, and I would be certain, that buying direct, would have saved a lot of money. Using these middle men local suppliers it seems really isnt worth it most of the time.
