Hi recently in first and second my car was missing slightly, it's been getting worse to the point today where when flooring it in 3rd it just misses real bad and doesn't clear, drives fine on part throttle etc but a bit hesitant pulling away(needs more revs from standstill).

Am i right in thinking plug related?, i had a similar thing on a cossie and i changed the plug gap(told to do this) and it stopped, basically the plugs were fooked.

any ideas?

I have a similar prob when the throttle is fully opened... a nasty stutter/misfire that doesn't go away until i back off the throttle a bit. I'm gonna change the plugs in about an hour (once the car cools down). I'll let you know if it clears it. (MY94 wrx)

Yeah that sounds the same, I was thinking either plugs or coil packs.

Keep me posted mate!

K... plugs have been changed. I had the battery disconnected to the ECU will probably have been reset so i didn't give it too brutal a test.

The misfire seems to be cleared up and it's more responsive at low revs (though i didn't notice a problem before). I got a misfire in second just the once but third and fourth were fine... way better than before.

I'll give it a proper test later and let you know.

oh..BTW.. i used champion platinum plugs set to .7, the plugs that i took out were NGK BKR6E set to 1.0
