What boost was it running?

Anecdotally there are some very quick virtually standard cars out there, and some that seem to go incredibly well at little boost. There are some standard MY99 in particular that seem very quick compared to expectation.

Faults that could make it lean and advanced are MAF sensor. Failed MAP sensor will allow it to hold whatever the boost peaks to.

Fitted a remap board to someone off heres car... Not posting who incase they dont want people to know...

Reports were its smoother but not quicker..

Played around.. went out and it felt quick without... like a lot more than 208... more like 260 / 280

Car is std apart from bpm twister...

Cant see any obvious splits or leaks...

Solenoid clicks whilst doing usual ****... no fault codes..

I've been in very good standard cars due to faulty MAF - but if you whacked a remap on I'd expect it to det.

faulty map sensor OR blocked boost solenoid plumbing (paticularly the high pressure line from the turbo) also spring to mind.

Get a boost gauge on it.

Downpipe still have its cat on it? That could slow the car down a bit. MAF sensor could be on its way out too.
