The Subaru dealer I use for servicing, uses an engine oil flush when doing an oil change. Is this a regular Subaru thing or should I tell them to keep this stuff well away form my car?.
Cheers.
Ian.
Tell the dealer not to use it again on your car. Engine flushes are not needed on Scoobs or any modern ( post 60's) car. Waste of time and can cause parts to wear prematurely. All IMHO obviously!
If they use a hydraulic valve lifter concentrate after filling with fresh oil it is designed to help prevent tappet rattle from cold. was recommended by subaru some years ago. more so for legacy turbo's.
