Synchro prob disappeared??

Had a prob with the synchro (or so I thought.) Did'nt want to go into 3rd when changing up without being notchy or a small grinding noise.
Now it all seems to have disappeared after about 1 week or 500 miles. Can this happen? Or is it something else. Box seems fine now.
