A spirited drive yesterday gave me some more concern over my knock link sensor.

I beleive it is fitted somewhere on the back of the head.

However, the first 'power' light ALWAYS glows dimly (which is ok), but I have never managed to do anything other than make that first light brighter!. None of the other lights have ever lit up even with JUST Super/OPtimax and no Octane Booster.

Im not overly worried as the car was mapped by BRD on a link ECU, but the engine has been rebuilt since and im wondering if maybe the sensor has been fitted in the wrong place.

Would anyone care to comment if I am alone, and where their sensors are? If Bob/Branko/AndyTang, reard this, can you clarify where the sensor SHOULD be fitted?

On the block about 5 cm behind the original knock sensor.

Flickering green light only at high revs is the case on some engines.

Mine flickers both green at the top, but I run a lot of power.

there is a mod position for it,if causing premature retardation, which is to remove from original position and relocate on the "L" shaped bracket, alongside the main earth cable, where there is an actual spare threaded hole to take the same bolt it is held down by.

That was the place I was suggesting for his (Bosch) knocklink sensor leaving the original in its original PITA to get at place.
