Hello to all,
I've just bought a Legacy turbo 1993. I'm going to remove the cat, now is there any sensors and if does anybody know what to do with them?
Mant thanks in advance.

there are two cats, one in the centre pipe and one in the downpipe. depends which one you are refering to.
centre pipe has no sensors, just straight swap.
downpipe has the lambda sensor just to the rear of the turbo, just unscrew it and fit it into the boss of the new exhaust.
however, if you fit a full system, 3"bore etc, and an induction kit, the you will hit the fuel cut.
hope this helps

Now Turbs.
I have a 94 Legacy T estate with full ScoobySport (H&S) decat inc downpipe. I have an ITG panel filter. I havnt had a problem with fuel cut untill I fitted a Dawes mbc and upped the boost a tad.
It now looks like the diy ecu guys have come up trumps with ecu adaptors. I'm trying to get an answer out of them as to costs etc.
This may also up the fuel cut if you fit an induction kit.
I was a newbie like you up untill last week so my info won't be any where near as good as the other Legacy lads on here!
Good luck and welcome to the world of the stealth!!!
SNEAK UP, DECLOAK, PASS WITH EASE, ON TO THE NEXT VICTIM!

Kev,
you must learn the ways of the hunter
Make sure your down wind and watch out for twigs and leaves.
Your prey wont have a clue.
Been watchint' Discovery Chanel with the young un too much I think.
On song these systems are bloody loud though so you only get one chance to pounce or they'll see ya and be off!
Crikey look at the size of im, hes a real bute

i tend to take it out of gear when coming up to traffic lights, it's relatively quiet on tick over, but when the lights turn to green......all hell breaks lose

WARNING! Possible crazy people detected!!!!
WHY would you want to take the stealthiest stealth beast in the world (legacy turbo) and turn it into a 3" exhaust noise machine?
Turbs. I cannot stress this strongly enough: DO NOT REMOVE YOUR FUEL CUT YET!!!!!!!
Have a look at www.scoobyecu.co.uk or get a proper re-map done. Do not just get a Dawes and a Unichip or whatever because you WILL blow your engine eventually.
If you insist on tweaking your boost yourself, I urge you to invest in an AFR and Knocklink at the very minimum.
To give you an idea how good the ScoobyECU is:
Dave_Wallis just ran an MY94 (I think) to 345bhp with the following mods:
Exhaust (usual prices)
Airfilter. (usual prices)
Water Injection.
Front Mounted Intercooler (cannot be used on Legacy, as we have a chrge cooler)
Uprated Fuel Pump (not expensive)
Bigger Injectors (uhm...not cheap!)
Scooby ECU.
Just totting up on my fingers, I guess he could have achieved that spending less than £2500.
Now I am not saying the legacy will do 345bhp that easily, but it shows you how good the ScoobyECU is!!!
PLEASE check it out as their prices really are very competitive!
You won't even need to buy a DAWES: the boost will be mapped by the ECU: you retain all it's safety controls and cut outs and cold weather mapping, but get better performance.
It really does make a lot of sense!

Me too.
Trying to figure out on myne why I was getting 0.8 bar / 12- 13psi
with nownt more than a H & S b/box and ITG panel filter. OH and not forgetting the performance increasing VTA dump valve!!
Scott is currently helping me with this but if any one else can advise to save him the headaches.
I tested the boost on two different guages. (Hence bar and psi.)
WTF is goin on.
Can you advise the best place to take the boost source from. I have it coming off the larger of the three hoses on the plenum thingy.
Numpties back on the scene again - look out everyone.
STE.
P.S. Sorry about the "Topic Mugging" Turbs.
Its for your own good my man!!
