Hi All
i have read a few posts about changing the oil and how you must fill the oil filter prior to refitting and then prime the oil system on the starter motor.
i can understand how to fill the filter but would like somone to tell me how to prime the system??
Thanks

If you remove the crank sensor your car will not spark...
Remove crank sensor and turn car over until oil light goes out..
System primed
replace sensor

Disconnect crank position sensor (near alternator) and turn the key and hold for say 10 seconds and repeat. I could not get the oil pressure light to go out but figured that this must at least circulate some oil. Also minimise the oil change time - don't leave the car sitting for long after draining the old oil.
Sorry x-posted.

Crankshaft sensor
This is above the centre pulley at the front of the engine. You'll also need to clear the ECU memory after doing this as this creates fault code 11.
