it is supposed to have:

rounded edge on the front bumper to make it pedestrian safe.

crushable wiper arms in case of above pedestrian hitting them or crashing.

snap off pedals in case of above crash with pedestrian.

revised dampers which now have multi layer valving.

gun grey trim around the stereo.

blue carpets on sti only.

throttle response modified to make it more responsive.

exhaust manifolds revised to help smooth the flow of exhaust gasses.

power hike on the standard turbo to 225ps.

active head restraints in case of the pedestrian again.

better front headlights with the rears styled to match.

central rev counter.

different steering wheel now 375mm.

thats all i can remember at the moment i've got a full list somewhere will post it up when i find it!

Taken from what has been released by Subaru so far the main changes are

Clear type side indicators
Anti-raindrops/dirt aerodynamic door mirrors
impact-absorbing brake pedal
Crushable wipers
pedestrian friendly front bumper and bonnet design
ISO-FIX compatible child seat anchors
Improved handling by minimissing Geometry (bumpsteer) changes during cornering
Rigidity of the front suspension has been strengthened by the adition of cross performance rods (lower strut brace?)
Steering response has been inmproved by strengthening the transverse links mounts
Improved air scoop baffle and waterspray nozzle
Interior center panel is now in a dark metallic tone
dashboard uses a monotone
Blue colour coordinated seats, carpets and door trim
Smaller diameter 3 spoke STi steering wheel
different interior materials used
new front bumper
improved vehicle aerodynamics
improved engine compartment cooling
new designed front lights, rear lights, bumper and bonnet
the new frontlights also improve the distribution of the light at night
a character line that goes from the front bonnet and extends along the sides
better front to rear aerodynamic balance
better stability during high-speed driving due to front corner spoilers, sidesill spoilers and large rear spoiler. Better cooling of the inter-cooler has been possible due to an improved larger air intake in the bonnet that increases airflow.

Anything on sti engine performance, a nice increase in power perhaps (300 + bhp) ??? torque ??? and what about an improvement on the substantial turbo lag of the 02 sti ?!

Question

What lag on the MY02 STi?
now if you mean the fact that the turbo doesnt come in until 4k... thats not lag
(simple terms for lag are :- when changing gears, after you change up and are in the turbo's range you get a pause when you go back on the power for a second, then the power comes in, thats lag )

Thanks for the clarification Tones, let me correct myself:
Does the turbo come in earlier (2800 perhaps)?
What about power & torque improvements??
Anyone knows???

I heard that there is an improvement of 10% in the midrange torque but not in the maximum torque nor power figures which remain the same as the 02. However this is just a rumour based on inputs from the Paris show, can anyone confirm this ?
