Ok in the colder weather I'm getting a bit of overboost now and then on my MY99 decat with TEK2.

Its mapped to hold 1.2bar or just over but now and then its hitting 1.35 or 1.4 back to 1.1 and then up again to 1.2 and holding. Doesn't do it everytime but now and then enough to need calming down. I've currently got the standard MY99 restrictor in place (1.2mm????), is it a 1.3mm I need to replace it with as I have one sitting on my shelf

Cheers
Neil.

Fit it and see! Be careful you don't go too large as a large restrictor will limit the held boost and also slow down spool up. It might be best to get an adjustable flow valve so you can set it exactly how you want it. JB posted many moons ago about one he bought from Pipemore see http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...threadid=56487

Neil, I had the same problem with my EcuTek3 and John sent me a 1.3mm restrictor. Sorted.

Good luck.

Richard.

Talking

Mine was doing this, I went to a 1.3mm restrictor and found it made the car kinda flat, took the feeling of strong pulling power away.
I'm running mine with a Dawes at the moment, although when it starts getting colder again I'll give the 1.3mm another try.
Things are fantastic with the Dawes though

People are always upset when I send them 1.3mm restrictors - I know because you are both on this thread Once you have tasted torque you become a rabid boost beast and just can't stop. A bit like Pringles and other vices

How about trying a Dawes, which might give you more control?

I'll give the 1.3mm a try and see how I get on I had a dawes before and although its good, I went with EcuTek to bring everything back under ECU control - felt it was a little better that way......
