Throttle "Lift Off " Making gear changes "jerky"
#1
Anyone else been experiencing this problem.
I recently changed from a MY97 to a MY99. The old car had a very good throttle response and gear changes could be made with slick precision and no interuption to driving pleasure. However my "new" car seems to have a "sticky" throttle. I have to try and compensate "lift off" before each gear as the engine still revs slightly as I depress the clutch. I have checked carpets / cables etc, and can't find anything obvious that could be causing this.
Anybody had a similar glitch ? .....

no...and now on 3rd my99/00, could be just a case of timing your gear changes better, it happens to me when i get in the wifes car, but after a few changes it goes.

I was in a 99 last night that did something similar - very jerky when snapping throttle shut.
Dare I say it, very like having an aftermarket dump valve fitted
I stripped and cleaned DV - don't know if it helped yet. Do you have an aftermarket DV fitted?
