Hi,
Is it worth me getting a recirculating dump valve? I want the performance benefits, and a bit more dump noise when going hard, but not wanting that piissshhh every time I change gear when just driving slowly around town, etc. Also, I would want one that is a straight swap for the original, if these exist.
I will be running it with a full decat and blitz SUS on a 93'wrx.

Am I on the right track here?

Thanks, Rob.

Vent to atmosphere valve is what you want to reduce turbo lag m8.

Phhhst noise is not that noticable with a bailey d/v. I had a loan of one on Saturday and didn't notice that intrusive noise that much IMHO.

cat,

When using a VTA dumpvalve, doesn't that upset the MAF cause it doesn't know how much air is in the system?

i heard the VTA fkucdup the MAF, which is why the OEM is recirc.

What actual benefits does he forge one give over the standard, if it's just direct replacement??

Cheers for the help there.
Ive now been told about a 'twin dump' BOV, aparently it vents back into the system on low boost, but to atmos when caning it, sounds like a good idea, anyone used one?
Thanks, Rob.

I think the biggest disadvantage of the recirculating one is that it pumps hot air in the air intake hence reducing the engine efficiency.
