Hello,

I've read these word a lot on here, but don't actually know what it is. So, what is it? How do you spot it?

I've got a MY97, which apparently is prone to it, I want know what to look out for, and how is it fixed?

had it on my first Sport. You'll know it if you get it.

It's a horrible loud noise when you rev the engine. VERY noticable from cold. On the sport this can be sported by replacing the pistons, on the Turbo they need to replace the whole block (i think). All this should be done under warrenty as it's a known problem.
