Red face

Hello folks, new to this forum (first post that is)and have recently bought a sti V4 type R. Love it. However have noticed when going from 2 to 3rd gear it sometimes feels notchy. Happens when accelarating hardish but not at slowish speeds with an overly deliberate amount of clutch, if that makes sense.
Any ideas??

Got the same on mine but on 4th gear. It's a worn sychro ring. I'm gonna try changing the oil but will need to change the ring sometime anyway. Gonna get the 4 door higher 5th at the same time too....

if you have a type r gearbox already, and consider wanting a new one, then the one I had properly overhauled and rebuilt is gonna be for sale.

It has all the type r ratios in it, and has not been abused.

Is out the car because I have a new gearbox in, waiting to take more torque than i was prepared to put through the last one.

I have retained the centre diff, but this is easily transferable from your current type r, so if you just want the box to bolt in place of the old one, then let me know!
