Question

Hi all.

Ive got a problem with my car, in that when its started from cold, usualy firts thing in the morining, the clitch is very juddery. I cant let it out in 1st no matter how slowly without it juddering. One Ive driven for a while and everything has warmed up, it stops.

Does this mean my clutch is knackered, or is it something else?

The car has only done 22k miles btw.

Ta

If it's still under waranty, take it back and complain. They will say "they all do that". You say "Not acceptable, get it changed it's a known issue" they say "OK We'll take it out and check for wear - if it's too much you will have to pay". You say OK. They take it out, it's not too worn, you get a new clutch and flywheel and off you go. In about 7,000 to 10,000 miles you come back and do the same again.

On a more serious note. If it's just when it's cold and damp and the car's cold too they may tale soem convincing. If it's happening when the car is warm then should be no problems. You will most like get uprated clutch bits fitted, but the problem will still come back... eventually.

Julian.
