Question

Hi,
I realy like the look of these and am thinking of replacing my OE air box. Thing is, ive heard of a lot of AFM faliures when using induction kits. Does this happen with the Blitz, or is it just with oiled cotton filters.
Cheers, Rob.

I have had one on mine, MY95 WRX for 6 months, no problems so far...

Oh, by the way they sound amazing on boost, my sister described it as like the sound of a plane taking off..

MAF failures IMO only seem to occur on 98 on cars and you need not worry about it, 98/99 cars use hotwire MAF's iirc whereas pre97/98 cars do not..

I have a Blitz SUS

mines a MY98 which have the wire type MAF sensor (more robust i believe), MY99 and onwards have the foil (i think) one which is prone to MAF failure with induction kits.

whichever it is, MY99 onwards have the MAF problems

anyway, 6 months and so far no probs, sounds cool too

I've had a Pipercross kit on mine for a few months and recenly fitted a Blitz Sus kit instead. It does sound fantastic when lifting off and I only have an MY97 Sport! I can't imagine what it would sound like on a turbo. Looks pretty damn good under the bonnet too.
I seem to remember JW Racing do them and loads of other Blitz Stuff.
(No link with them etc etc)
