MY00 with PPP - is a DP the next way to go?
#1
Is a DP the next thing to add to a MY00 with PPP? Looking for reliable power and preferably not having to fit any sensors or guages inside just yet. I've been out in a wagon with this config and the noise was just about ok.
Is this a safe option? Is it only when you modify the air filter that you run into fuelling problems?
Is the scoobysport DP recommended for this spec?
Sorry for all the questions - I wish the search was working again!!

Ok, sounds perfect. What sort of bhp/torque gains should I expect, or is that an impossible question to answer? I've delved through the dyno results but there's few comparisons.

John, sorry to potential tread on this thread, but I'm guessing Robman may be interested too.....
I have a PPP'd MY00 with full TSL decat, ITG, and Forge DV. What would be the next step to increasing (est 275bhp) power / torque whilst maintaining reliability ?
Thanks
Glenn

So SimonH, what results did you get? Can I ask how much it cost too? I'm thinking of a trip to PS before Xmas to get some suspension stuff and tyres, so might try to get it on the Dyno too.

1) Sell the PPP.
2) Fit downpipe and de-cat centre-section while you're at it.
3) Exchange your TD04L turbo for a hybrid version from R19KET. I have one and it is better in every respect than stock. £500.
4) Tek3 custom map.
John Banks did mine and it's fab John reckons I've got about 290bhp and, even better, almost 300ft/lbs at 3,000rpm
You should get about £900 for a full PPP so the whole lot should only cost a few hundred quid extra. Oh, but you'll need a boost gauge.
Cheers,
Richard.
PS Beware of this modding lark - it's dangerously addictive. I'm off to see John Banks again soon, to collect a few more of his cast-offs - manifold and TMIC plus another tweak of the ECU. Can't wait I just need the KnockLink. (C'mon Jamie, this is an emergency - where is it!?!)
