Time has come to change the suspensions: i'd go for Bilstein but i'd like to keep the original springs;anyone of you knows how will the car's behaviour change cornering/accelerating/braking?
someone told me that springs are good for the look but they will change camber and alignment degrees...anyway maybe the springs(eibach i guess) will be fitted after several time.
mates, all kind of suggestions are welcome!
thanks

Wink

I think the Prodrive driving pack with the uprated springs/suspension use the Bilstein/eibach partnership along with the changed geometry settings (the prodrive ones??)

No, never nervous!!!
I had this kit about 4 months and only comments against are that is a bit stiff for our very bumby roads.
Great felling and turn in ability while wasn't nervous as you described, probably cause of the thiner rear anti roll bar.
Bear in mind I am talking about the stiffer Prodrive Prof kit with grey springs/shocks not the usual blue/grey combination which is softer.
Hope this helps you.

thanks Theo, very helpful about prodrive kit!
but do you know which benefits/defects you have changing just the suspensions leaving the original springs ? is it a reasonable setting or you have to change them both?

Of course the ideal will be to change them both at the same time but it depends from how much you plan to spend about suspensions!
IMVHO it is better to change the shocks with stiffer, against to have new springs with the factory shocks, as they tend to make the car unbalanced and the shocks can't absorb the movement of the harder springs (sorry for my poor English can't describe it better).
I repeat this is my opinion not a guideline and of course there are proven good spring kits (for example Eibachs) that work with the original shocks.
I have had in my previous cars (Almera GT, Peugeot Rallye) for long time the factory springs with after market shocks without problems.
A good set of dampers can mask a poor set of springs not the opposite.
Cheers

I have Prodrive Driver Enhancement Pack on my car, (uk99).

It does have Eibach and Bilstein set up, it is not as nervous as me

Seriously, the set up works just fine...and I have very bumpy roads where I live, and I USE the car on those roads.

I touch the exhaust on one bump, but apart from that, no problem at all.

Hope that helps
