Question

I know this has proberbly been asked before, but I want to buy a quickshift lever for a MY02. I don`t fancy paying out £170 odd quid for a B&M one, undoubtably good it may be, neither do I want to have to pay for a new gearknob which comes with the kit.
Looking on the web sites of various aftermarket suppliers there seems to be quite a lot to choose from. Also looking at the thread lower down and the problems he`s had I`m a bit weary.
I would welcome any advice, good or bad on quickshifts any of you might have fitted, ie, make, differerence it made, where purchased, etc.
Also read a thread on the GGR one with not very good results reported!
Any advice would be appreciated.

I just fitted the JW Racing one. Installation was pretty easy. Gear change now appears much more precise and the throw is considerably shorter. You can also adjust the throw length as well.

Thanks for replies so far, two other questions come to mind, on my original the shift lever sits in a larger tube and is encased in rubber? presumably to dampen vibration / noise transference and also has a plastic clip to hold the leather gaiter up. None of the short throw levers I have seen have either of these!.
Question ? is there more noise / vibration transfered and how do you prevent the gaiter from slipping down?
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.
