Right 2nd time lucky (Bloody ISP changed servers at time i clicked on submit new topic)
Ok APS SR30 or hybrid VF22????
Thoughts and reason why please Ladies and Gentlemen
Steven
PS I do not want alot of lag, i would prefer boost to come in lower down the rev range. ie not 4000rpm, as i am used to full boost at 2800rpm at the moment.

Trout's looks good... but possibly a tad high spool-up in this case?
I'd be interested in info about the APS jobbie as well (I'd personally love Trout's but don't have the cash about at the moment ) but they seem to like presenting lots of information in an entirely arbitrary manner - to start with, they seem to have the TD04 down on their 'system' as basically never reliably being able to produce more than around 250bhp, which means most cars are running on imagination

PML@nom - based on other claims - 450bhp running an APS turbo on standard internals I can only agree! They promised to publish official figures when the car was finished - I wait with anticipation!

Steven,
I personally would not bother with the APS thing.
Speak to Mark - he can tailor a turbo to suit your precise needs - or hybrid your TD04 - or possibly consider mine. Speak to Mark first would be my strong recommendation.
The MD254 will give you the power you seek - but will be a little laggier than you are used to. My car is an STi so I have an extra 1000rpm to play with at the top end.

Mark sorry for delay, i have screwed up my user name, tut.
I was not complaining by the way, was merely trying to say i am waiting for you to come back to me before i make my decision as i do not want to leave you out seeing as you have been very helpful so far, along with trout and jamie.
i will look at email tomorrow at work.
regards steven

If you want price, speak to mark aigin m@rk-a.com
BHP wise combined with existing mods and an aps FMIC and a remap we are looking at 330bhp+ on UK MY00 wagon.
You will ALL know once its up and running. Rolling road test at well lane at end of October, but you will know my thoughts before then hopefully.

Carlos,
indeed there are some VF hybrids that will produce 400bhp or even more.
At 1.5bar - Craig got 288bhp at the wheels on his two litre - a 2.2 would produce even more.
Rated to 1.8bar - 1 bar available around 3,700rpm

Steven,
whatever price Mark has given you - I will beat it by £50
Only joking (before Mark cuts my actuators off!) Good luck with it - when I am up will have to have a go at mapping it for you

I would just like to point out, that anyone who either has, or who is intending to by a turbo from me, lets TROUT ANYWHERE NEAR the mapping, will NULL & VOID the warranty.
I've not yet been able to find an underwriter willing to take THAT HIGH A RISK, at ANY premium !!!!!!
Trout, your "actuators" are safe, I'll just do a "RE-LOAD", and let you sort your own boost control out
Mark.
