Question

Hi guys and gals,

I located the "T" that is made before the line coming from the turbo gets to the intercooler connection. Where is the restrictor in relation to this "T". Is it on the turbo side before it "T"'s off, is it on the side of the "T" going to the intercooler, or is it on the other tube branching off from the "T" ???

How close is it to the "T", 1/2", 1" , right next to it ???

Cheers,
Ray

You're better posting in Drivetrain, if you want an answer.

Lucky I know its an STi7

It's in the short pipe from the compressor housing to the T piece. Squeeze the pipe and you will feel a little lump inside it - that's the restrictor.

It limits the flow (not pressure) to let the solenoid dump enough pressure in the wastegate actuator line.
