Hi Guys,

I was just wondering what the loudest pipe available for the Scoob is. I have a scooby sport complete at the moment, I thought that was loud till I heard some others on the road !
HKS super dragger ?
Blitz ?
Any first hand exdperience of having these would be gr8,

Cheers guys,

Ask people about mine! Blitz system! Sounds very loud and throaty! Not heard the BPM... but everyone that has heard mine comments on it. (for some reason it seems to be much louder than other scoobs with a Blitz??! )

I disagree that the Scoobysport system is'nt that loud, Knowlesy had a un-silenced one made up and it is loud 120 decibels

I think it's a little difficult to tell on outright volume between Blitz Nur Spec and BPM due to the different pitch. BPM is a higher, more rasping noise where the Blitz is much deeper. I've only got a Blitz back box and that's about twice as loud as my other car with a full decat Mongoose so I suspect a NurSpec R must rank near the top of the noise makers!

Ive tried the following all in a month;
Scorpion 4 inch= not too loud at all, deep burble.
Revolution/Jetex= louder deeper burble a bit like a TVR
Hks Hiper= very loud not too loud on motorways, best so far.
Blitz Nur Spec R= wow this is the older style Blitz and its definatly the loudest, very loud on motorways, loads of pops bangs flames.
Now i have a newer style Blitz Nur Spec on order only a week to go now!!!
Summery= If you want loud get Blitz, if you dont want loud get Blitz and put the bung in.

does no one think about power?

sod volume I want performance, and in that case it is HKS hiper.

Much of volume is dictated by downpipe and headers!

Well, I'm odd here & want something that flows very well but is quietish. Which sort of knocks the Hiper out. Using a Draper (SS DP) at the moment - not quiet but a soft rather than intrusive sound, and seems to flow OK... Anyone got any other ideas?
Oh, and the manifold is changing to an HKS one shortly.
Apologies for trying to completely swap the thread the other way round

Go as loud as you like but don't drive past my house late at night.
I have a Prodrive BB, which makes the neighbours curtains twitch at 6 in the evening.

I have a new style Blitz centre and Mid section 3" straight through............
Sound absolutely awesome, everyone who hears it comments on how nice it sounds.....
Very loud but not bad on long haul journeys, Very burbly and then changes pitch through the rev range. Turbo seems to spin up about 500 revs earlier aswell defo made performance diff.

you can actually quieten down your car by fitting a BPM downpipe.

These are mild steel instead of stainless and hpc coated for corrosion resistance (doesnt work perfectly). Mild steel is said to be 6db (1/4 volume) quieter than stainless.

one of the quietest cars I have been in is anders 22B.

Scoobysport headers, not sure on downpipe and hks super dragger back box. The HKS hiper is louder but flows better.

scoobysport is a good compormise between flow and volume.

to me blitz is the worst of both worlds.
