Question

Looking to convert my MY01 WRX to run on LPG, got a price of a dealer who says the kit is reliable and will not effect performance, it also comes with a 3 year warranty.

Has anybody had there's converted? had any problems?

This will cut my fuel bills in half and also reduce my company car tax so if anybody knows of any serious problems with this convertion a response would by appreciated.

Tommy

I know of someone who converted a Porker 928 S4 and he reports no real loss in power.
The only downside is that his boot is taken up with the huge tank, so it may well be the case here too.

Someone posted on here some time ago who had this done - I think the tank fitted where the spare wheel goes. Or rather went.

You here storys about LPG and Turbo cars not mixing, but I haven't heard of any failures or bad things. I personally feel LPG is the way for the future.
Cheers.

Hi Tommy

I am searching for this for some time.
It seems the problem is due to the high pressure needed on the injectors and there was no conversion available, at least some months ago.
I would like to know the dealer and the price of the conversion.

Thank you

Hermínio

My Legacy 2.5 Estate's running LPG with no problems. Have been very happy with it - loads of power and loads of cheapness. But, it's the normally aspirated engine, so the "basic" delivery system works fine.
I'm due to have the system replaced with the injector-based system in a month or so - which is the system you guys with turbo's would have to have. Once that's in, I'll give you lot an update
