Having done a search on the BBS, I'm pretty confident that the problem is either the crank sensor or cam sensor....usual characteristics of starting perfectly when cold then not starting after a short run (turns over but won't fire).

Now the query I have is where these sensors are?

The problem has only started after I had the drivers side rocker cover gasket replaced at GGR and I was wondering whether either of these sensors would have been removed or disturbed etc while this was being done?

It could just be a coincidence

You could try remove and clean...we had a wheel bearing replaced on a Granada years ago, after it came back the ABS would not work.
Found when I 'pulled' the sensor that it had grease all over the end and couldnt 'read' the hub teeth!

Worth a try

Hhmmmm.....may be a stupid question, but if there was a bad connection on the sensor plugs, would the ecu check show it up as a fault with the sensor?

Is it worth a liberal squirt of WD40 to try?
