Default 6 speed gearbox problem

Hi all
So im experiencing some gear chatter and bounce at slow speeds in most gears and it feels like there is alot of slack , does anyone think its the front or rear diffs or the gear box its self or all combined .
The gearbox has done 180k most of which has been at 4 to 500hp so its had a good innings and there is no crunching of gears or any other noises its had regular oil changes and the oil was dirty on the last change .
I know it probably needs a rebuild , but who take it to for said rebuild and is there a ball park cost ?

Never used him for gearbox rebuilds but his reputation does seem good - try AS Performance. He/they seem to be pretty good at actual engineering work rather than just bolting in new bits.

Speak to TEG Sport, they did mine. For a rebuild inc a brand new gearset you are looking at £1200-£1500.

Thanks for answering Iain, were your symtoms similar to mine and did you need any other work doing such as diffs or any thing else?

I had the common synchro crunch between 4th/5th. Basically got a brand new gearbox for £1200.
