weird whiring/whining noise above about 25-30mph
just getting straight to the point here, when i go for a drive in my car, from about 25-30mph onwards it seems to make a weird kind of whiring or whining noise from the front of the car from what seems to be more the passenger side.... it also does this while free wheeling and doesnt make a sound if im stationary and try revving it
the noise also gets faster and a bit louder the faster i go and gets slower and quieter when i decelerate
it is a 2004 blobeye wrx, i've had a mechanic sit in the car while i drive and without looking underneath he could only say it could be anything from wheel baring to diff

not exactly something anyone wants to be told
only had the car for under 2 months aswell, started making the noise about 3 weeks ago, well i noticed it about 3 weeks ago
i'll try just changing the oil in it at the weekend when i can get a bit of daylight, hopefully it is only that and not the diff/gearbox

Yeah I know it obviously might not be that, really hoping it isn't! Is there an easy way of checking how much oil there is in the box? I'm not really clued up on things like this..
Yeah there is a couple subaru specialists up my way so might give them a call and see what they think
Obviously it doesn't effect driving it but I don't know how much more damage it could be doing by driving it..
