Talking

I supply a lot of these items and have never had a problem.

The main thing is to make sure they are mounted correctly and have no vibration or resonance that can cause MAF failure.

Jamie, thanx for your reply on prices for kits.Just read a thread which I was going to ask about the kits.A guy was posting he was having a problem of some sort but was wondering if it was to do with water penetrating his blitz filter through the vent in the bonnet. From pics on sites the filters seem to sit under the bonnet vent and my orig airbox gets wet when it rains as it is.

Be very careful of the MAF sensor on MY99. If it fails due to an induction kit (or spontaneously) it can take your engine with it.

been running my blitz for 6mths with no probs at all.there are prob diff reasons for maf failure but none are conclusive.even standard mafs have failed.it seems the key is to ensure no extra vibration on the maf.the blitz one is very secure

Heard about another 99/00 MAF failure today - I was involved as it had an EcuTek remap and the check engine light came on, the customer assumed the CEL was because of the remap. An HKS induction kit had just been fitted only days ago. Coincidence maybe?
