OK,

Anybody up for a Group Buy on rumours? If enough people are interested (and I think there are judging by previous threads in other forums), I am willing to arrange a Group Buy on the following rumours:

1. The PPP for the STi7 will have 450bhp, contain an exhaust with hi-flow cat, Garrett GT40 Turbo, Pectel P6 ECU with launch control and anti-lag but will pass all noise and emission tests....

2. The new MY03 will be a complete re-design and will now come with two body shapes, chosen when the order is placed at the dealer, a) Nissan Skyline R34 (but scaled down to Scoob size) or b) Ferrari 355 shape (but with 4 doors and 2 rear seats to make a 2 + 2)

Anyone interested?

Where did this information come from? Why are you telling us and how do you know its gen. My mate told me his mate met a guy in the know in a pub in Banbury and a well known(no names)tuning company of Subarus is fitting superchargers to the new STi8.
So there you have the facts m8s
Yes please Mat put me on the group buy but what warrenty are you giving?

Cool

I'm holding out for the MY04, it's purely for the flux-capacitor and the hyperdrive engines that I'm waiting.

Also they are going to have [b]2 'bright' buttons!!

Two bright buttons? Wow.

Sign me up now.

PS - bloke down pub who has once been to Banbury told me about the "flat 6" engine. The STI will use a "flat 7" plus special counterbalancing gravitron drive to ensure optimum engine balance.

Question

A bloke I know who's the cousin of a bird that goes out with a mate of a bloke who drinks in the same pub as a bloke whose bird works with the girlfriend of a bloke who knows a bloke who works in a pub that a bloke from Prodrive drinks in said that he'd heard a rumour that there was a rumour going round that there was a group buy on rumours going on on scoobynet. Is this true or just a rumour?

Sal

Chiark,

Is that the one that will incorporate the Dylithium Crystal power source?

Just read this on IM's site:

"Matter/anti-matter power or Dilithium crystal power

Okay so it's blatantly ripped out of Star Trek, but it stands to reason that new types of power generation would be invented, so why not stick it in the STI 8?"

Cool so it must be true...

It's all well and good these minor performance improvements but if they don't put atleast 6 cup holders in I'm not interested.

I hear 6 is the magic number for the new model. 6 speed gearbox, 6 cylinders, 6 bright buttons, 6 dilithium crystals, 6 positron bambleweeny sub-meson brains, 6 holders for sources of really good brownian motion (such as a nice hot cup of tea)...

I heard that Shell had sent out industrial spys to prodrive to destroy the nulcear-micro-cold-fusion generator being fitted to the MY0x-sti type-z at the fear of loosing 90% of their Optimax customers.

Dan, a shady guy in the street stopped me and said the same thing. "Tell the world", he said.

"And don't buy petrol from Esso, either, particularly in June, as this will destroy the whole company".

I thanked him for his advice and bid him good-day.

He was dribbling slightly and I had to towel myself down following the conversation.

Apparently, prodrive are producing a rumour accelerator, which can get you from "bloke down pub said" to "scoobynet" in less than 5 seconds.

I'd wait for that if I were you.

Our John's Betty told me that the MY03 will look like the MY98 but a bit stiffer with nicer seats. 18 months of IM spies on Scoobynet have told them that that is what the 'enthusiast' would like .

Matt: Put me down for two (one for my m8 down the pub)
Chiark:This just proves how modern technology is goin in leaps and bounds with a jump to six cupholders in one go. Just shows how busy they are at Banbury.
Scoobychick: You missed out the colour of her nickers.I think we have a right to know.
Boultsy:You have made a good point about warrenty but is it relevant to a group buy m8?
Will this new electronic package retro fit onto my car. It is a silver one. Will it have any effect on my earth mod kit? I need to no.

A colleague of mine got talking to a bloke in the pub at lunchtime, who’s girlfriend’s sister’s boyfriend once met someone who’s second cousin had a mate who went to Prodrive Live last year. Now this bloke got chatting to one of the staff, who had a mate who was the third nephew, twice removed of a salesman for Subaru in HK, who’s workmate had an Uncle who used to be a designer for Subaru in Japan. When asked the question – is the new Impreza going to look any better than the current one? replied “how the **** should I know they sacked me … I designed the front end on the last model !!”

By the way I like my bug eyes! And this is getting very silly.
