Great customer service is a big differentiator in my book and deserves recognition when it exceeds expectations:

I had my engine re-built by API in November following a bit of a melt down. I've sent it back there a couple of times, most recently for a MOT, and have always had great customer service. From things like detailed explanations of the work needed to be undertaken; proactively making arrangements for me to be able to collect my car with the minimum of delay when I'm busy; to always phoning when there's a change of plan or tack with any work; advising of price increases (no matter how small), always with forewarning of potential costs before work is undertaken; but most of all making me feel like that my custom with them is truly valued.

Some people might think that this sort of behaviour should be a given when providing a service (whatever the industry) but all too often it is the small things that are overlooked and really make a difference so I think the positive experiences I have had deserve some recognition.

People have different experiences sometime but this thread is just meant to highlight mine where I believe exceed the normal standard of expectation. Quite often we're quick to complain but probably don't recognise and highlight great service as often as we should when we receive it.

Thanks to David at API and his team for showing that you value both my time and my custom whenever I deal with you.
