For one that works, circa £2500.00 + VAT Using custom Steel rods and custom forged pistons; not 'internet' ones.

David, would that price be using my own block or not?

No that's a short motor built complete, supplied, no exchange required. You get:

Block, New original Subaru crank, Race bearings, steel rods, forged pistons, rings, all assembled with an APi modified oil pump fitted.

Carriage extra, all plus VAT at whatever rate Gordon feels like charging on that day......

Form a queue here:

hi david

how much for a forge 2ltr / 2,1ltr for my p1, looking to run up to 450 would there be much difference between 450 or 550 build?

also what would be the cost for fitting it to? (seperate price please to the build)

and can i ask do you not build the current block in the car or just as a replacement block

Steve, I'd still build that the same way as above. We always use APi brand steel rods with the stronger L19 ARP bolts [ silver ones ] that are well proven and are more durable than the regular black ones.

I can either use your block or start afresh, it matters not to me and if you have some reason that you want to use your original block that is Ok. It'll go through all the hot pressure testing processes in a our submersion tank that any block goes through here.

l'll price it all out carefully and pm you.

hi David, I just thought if I used my exsisting block it would save money as I would not be paying for a new block but if it makes no difference then that is fine, a new block it is. Would it be a cdb Or a block from a newage sti? If you could send me details of cost for supply and then for fittin that would be great. If you need anymore info from me to help you pu something together then no problems. Be waiting for your pm

Thanks

Stevie, Any block would be rebored or linered in some cases. So in effect we would be starting afresh, even if we used or had to use the original one.

l'll get on the rest of the quote for you.

could you also pm me the same please, as iv started to get .....what i think is rod knock after playing in the snow on just under 1/4 a tank, but not sure ....but im seeing it as a kick up the b.hind to do a full rebuild . to b fair to you im not looking to rebuild for quite a while yet but im just looking for prices and options ......ive got a 1997 555 jap import v4 i think .... which i am not 2 clued up on, it has the roof intake like an ra and pannels are very light like the v3 but .. some sites say they are the real deal and some dont have never herd of them .but i beleave it 2 have a 2.0 closed deck so would like to keep it, maybe get a 2.1 stroker kit .............could you price up a full rebuild , like above , reliably at 450,500 and upward ....would like to do it right now so that i can play with for years to come, both fitted and delivered, and run through the spec thats involved??....... not to clued up on the internals as yet , but plan to be over the next few weeks.

any feed back very much appreciated

cheers chris
